From Roing, the road begins to climb.

Eight days. Two states. Tea-growing plains, forested mountain roads, high passes, remote villages and the extraordinary wilderness of Dibang Valley.
This is a road journey into one of Northeast India’s least-explored landscapes.
Begin your journey from Guwahati and travel eastwards across Assam towards Dibrugarh.
As the journey progresses, the landscapes gradually shift from the plains of central Assam to the lush tea-growing countryside of Upper Assam.
Guests who prefer a shorter road journey can fly directly into Dibrugarh Airport and join the expedition from Dibrugarh.
After breakfast, leave Assam behind and begin the journey towards Arunachal Pradesh.
As you approach Roing, the landscape starts changing from open plains into forested Himalayan foothills, river valleys and increasingly dramatic mountain terrain.
Today begins one of the most spectacular drives of the expedition.
Leave Roing early and ascend into the mountains towards Mayudia Pass before travelling deeper through the dramatic terrain of Dibang Valley.
Mayudia lies around 56 km from Roing and is surrounded by lofty hills, forests and panoramic mountain scenery.
Wake up surrounded by the spectacular landscapes of Dibang Valley.
Today is dedicated to experiencing Anini at a slower pace — meeting local communities, discovering traditional lifestyles and exploring the mountains and rivers surrounding this remote Himalayan settlement.
Today takes you deeper into the landscapes surrounding Anini.
Rather than following a rigid sightseeing checklist, this day is intentionally flexible so the local team can select the best accessible locations based on current weather, road conditions and local circumstances.
Exact locations may change depending on weather, road accessibility and local conditions to ensure the safest and best possible experience.
After breakfast, begin the long journey back towards Roing.
Although you return along the same Himalayan route, travelling in the opposite direction offers completely different perspectives of the mountains, forests, valleys and river systems experienced earlier.
Enjoy breakfast before leaving the Himalayan foothills and beginning your journey back towards Dibrugarh.
Watch the landscape transform once more as dramatic mountains gradually give way to Assam’s plains and tea-growing countryside.
Your Eastern Himalayan expedition comes to an end as you travel from Dibrugarh back towards Guwahati.
Guests who prefer a shorter itinerary can fly directly from Dibrugarh Airport instead of travelling back to Guwahati by road.
